The quality of our work is endorsed by two certifications: UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNE-EN 15038. The requirements are demanding, but we fulfil them. We already did when these certifications did not even exist. Quality is our vocation.

Caleidos does not use automatic translation systems.
They cannot guarantee the accuracy, clarity or elegance of language.
That is why our translations are rendered by people. By experts.
Nevertheless, we still offer excellent value for money.

So how do we achieve this?

Translation memories

Since 1995, we have translated hundreds of millions of words, all of which are stored in large databases that are automatically “fed” by every new translation that we do. Every new order triggers a powerful search engine, capable of identifying whether the new files contain similar texts to other ones that have already been translated for the same client. If the search is successful, the repeated texts (matches) are leveraged. This avoids doing the same job twice.


Result:
We can apply discounts for repetition (lower cost), and the texts are consistent over time (greater quality).

Error control

Our quality control system is comprised of two stages. In the first stage, IT resources help us to automatically detect certain types of common mistakes (such as typos, omissions or mistakes with numbers) and to check that the terminology used matches the customer’s preferences. It is a rapid procedure that releases proofreaders from a mechanical and tedious job, allowing them to focus on aspects that are beyond the control of machines, for example, that the spirit of the original is preserved, clarity of expression or that the language used is suitable, among other aspects.

Result:
Quality control takes less time (lower cost) and the possibility of mistakes is reduced (greater quality).

Good management is synonymous with effectiveness in any sector. In our sector, the key to success lies in knowing the customer’s needs and the nature of the documentation in order to design a personalised work flow where nothing is left to chance. Our strategy is simple: we apply all our experience, knowledge and intelligence to the project to get everything right from the word go. Naturally, with the support of dedicated file and project management tools.

We know that if we want you to trust us we must also provide you with security: security in communications, in the traceability of work and in file storage.

So how do we achieve this?

Secure communication

We guarantee secure communications through our FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server. The transmission of files through this type of service is totally secure, since it is an end-to end transmission (directly between our server and your computer).

Traceability

Our file system keeps a log of all modifications made (date, author and reason for the change). It prevents two people from working on the same document at the same time. Moreover, it allows us to retrieve every previous version of every file.

File storage

So you need to use a document we translated for you a couple of years ago, but you can’t find it? Don’t worry, just ask us for it and we will send it to you in next to no time. We store all files, duly protected and referenced, for a minimum period of 5 years (unless the client asks us to delete it them).

Confidentiality

And if you are not really worried about all the above questions and all you really care about is confidentiality, then rest assured.
All our employees, suppliers and collaborators are subject to a strict confidentiality agreement and professional secrecy, and the information that you provide us with will only be available to people that need to know it.
